About the English pages
How BedBugChina sources and labels records
BedBugChina is the English name used for the public accommodation pest record directory. Its Chinese brand name is 虫虫远离我. The directory helps readers inspect dated source material; it is not a regulator, hotel safety rating, infestation survey, or live inspection service.
Editorial responsibility: BedBugChina site maintainers. This page does not claim review by an external entomologist, clinician, or government authority. Editorial work here covers source attribution, record labels, English rendering, and corrections to published pages.

What the current directory contains
The live public directory currently lists 406 properties and 497 published records. These are counts of database entries currently available to the English pages, not unique incidents or estimates of pest prevalence. The set can change when a record is published, updated, hidden, or corrected.
- Other or unidentified pests · 184
- Bed bugs · 246
- Cockroaches · 45
- Rove beetles (unconfirmed) · 8
- Fleas · 5
- Booklice · 1
- Suspected mites (unidentified) · 7
- Ants · 1
Counts are not a representative survey, official surveillance data, or a comparison of city or property safety. No listing is not proof that a property is pest-free.
Browse the current public records directorySources and publication review
Records can come from a guest submission or a third-party public page. Publication review checks whether a record meets the platform's publication requirements and how its source is represented. Public web leads are labelled as third-party public leads. A public post may not establish the author's identity, a stay at the named property, the exact room, or the insect species.
Evidence labels describe material recorded for platform review. A reviewed stay document does not prove a pest event or identify an insect. Submitted photographs are not the same as independent expert identification. A record's stored pest category is shown separately from its source type and evidence status.
- Guest submission: a user-submitted account that has passed the platform's publication review. This is not a finding that the event or identification has been independently verified.
- Third-party public lead: a public web source or reference summarized as a lead. It remains unverified unless the record says otherwise.
- Stored pest category: the category attached to a report. “Other,” “mixed,” and unidentified categories are not automatically treated as bed bugs.
- Dispute status: whether a property response or dispute is recorded in the platform. It does not decide whether either account is correct.
English names and summaries
A property's reviewed English display name is labelled by its source: official property name, name used by a cited travel platform, or romanized/translated display name. A translated name is not presented as official. When no current reviewed English name is available, the Chinese property name stays visible rather than being guessed.
English report summaries and property responses are maintained as concise renderings of stored Chinese text. They do not replace the Chinese wording or the linked original source. If a source description, date, or category changes, an outdated English rendering should no longer be shown until it is reviewed again.
Property responses, corrections, and limits
A hotel or authorized representative can send a response, dispute, or correction through the appeal process. A published reply is shown as a separate account; it does not automatically remove the underlying record. If a record contains an error, include its URL and the specific field that needs review.
