Bed bugs
Heightened precautionsReddit · Third-party public lead#R-KB79A Reddit post from late October 2025 recounts that, after two nights at a property near Dongzhimen Station on Xinjie Street, the author woke at about 4 a.m. and found insects on the bed they identified as adult and juvenile bed bugs. The author reported more than 20 bites. The hotel was full and could not move them; the author said it first declined a refund but later agreed to a full refund.

Heightened precautionsPest precautions
Bed bug bites can cause itching, disturbed sleep and, rarely, serious allergic reactions. Bed bugs are not known to spread diseases to people. Luggage and clothing can carry them to another location, where control can be difficult.
What to do: Check mattress seams, bed frames and your belongings. Photograph suspected bugs and contact the property. Keep belongings off a potentially infested bed.
These platform-defined accommodation attention levels consider precautions and travel-related spread, not medical severity. Guidance concerns pests in general and does not establish species identification or current hotel conditions.
Check your luggage to avoid bringing bed bugs home.
