The author reported suspected bites and a dead insect on 14 Sep, then a live insect under a pillow on 15 Sep that they identified as a bed bug. The author also relayed a 16 Sep diagnosis of insect-bite dermatitis and said a pest-control company later confirmed bed bugs and the hotel covered medical costs. These claims have not been independently verified.
